Our team of regional coordinators is made up of experienced private microschool founders who bring deep, firsthand knowledge of launching and leading innovative learning environments. Each coordinator has spent years in the microschooling space and is passionate about supporting fellow educators and families. They understand the unique challenges and opportunities of this work and are here to connect, guide, and empower microschool leaders across Indiana.

STACY ATTAR
Journey Academy
Michigan City, IN
Bio: Stacy’s professional experience includes more than 30 years in the field of education. She has taught children and adults with disabilities from birth through adulthood. Throughout this time, she has served as a Special Education Teacher, School Counselor, Special Education Coach, and Director of Special Education. Stacy is deeply passionate about meeting every learner where they are, believing that all individuals deserve access to a meaningful education tailored to their unique strengths and needs.

JOYCE KOSTER
Sure Foundations Learning Center
Crown Point, IN
Bio: Joyce has been in elementary education for 35+ years. Much of her career was in private schools but also included a five year journey leading Kids Hope USA (a mentoring ministry to public schools with at-risk youth through church-school partnerships) at her church. She is now the founder and creator of Sure Foundations Learning Center in Crown Point, Indiana. This cozy discovery space is a microschool as well as an after-school tutoring center. Creating safe and encouraging spaces to grow and flourish is a passion for Joyce, as are big, gentle dogs, happy chickens and a bit of chocolate now and then.

Bio: Lauren Moses has a decade of experience in education, and has dedicated her career to creating learning environments where children can thrive. As the founder and leader of Sycamore Seeds Learning Community in Fort Wayne, she blends her background in teaching with a passion for building whimsical, creative spaces that inspire curiosity, imagination, and joy.
Believing that every child deserves a place where learning feels both magical and meaningful, Lauren has created a community to nurture not only academic growth but also wonder, play, and a deep love of discovery. Her vision is simple: to provide children with an education that sparks their creativity, values their individuality, and equips them to flourish in the wider world.

Founder
Bio: Jill Haskins is an innovative leader in the microschooling movement, bringing a wealth of experience from her background as a public school teacher, homeschool mom, and microschool educator and leader for four years to the creation and sustainability of Kainos Microschool.
As the Founder of the Indiana Microschool Network and Director of Kainos Microschool, Jill is dedicated to creating educational spaces in Fort Wayne and across Indiana where students can build confidence, recognize their worth, and succeed on their own terms. Since 2023, she has established a network of over 100 microschools across Indiana to expand access to innovative learning environments for children statewide. Her work as a microschool leader and ecosystem builder has earned her notable recognition as a Vela Microgrant and Next Step Grant recipient. She has participated in the EdChoice/Next Studios Education Entrepreneurship program as well as The Institute for Quality Education's Ambassador Fellowship and was awarded the Ambassador of the Year Award in December 2024. Jill is also a graduate of the winter/spring 2024 cohort of the 4.0 Tiny Fellowship as well as the Impact Fort Wayne's Leadership Development Fellowship. She also holds an Indiana Teaching License for grades K-6.
In her role as Director of Microschool Outreach at the National Microschooling Center, Jill supports hundreds of microschools nationwide, connecting leaders with resources and fostering an inclusive network. She has shared her insights at both local and national conferences, including VelaCon, Kennesaw State University's Hybrid Schools Conference, the HEAL Conference, the Rally Innovation Expo, The Teacher Freedom Summit, and various local education expos. Her advocacy work and insights have been featured in Forbes, Chalkbeat Indiana, The 74 Million, U.S. News & World Report, Cato Institute, and EdChoice’s Engage publication, as well as on podcasts like LiberatEd, Love Your Schools Alabama, and Education Matters.

JESSICA BENJAMIN

Bio: Jessica Benjamin holds dual degrees in Elementary and Special Education with a focus on Early Childhood and Spanish. With over 20 years of experience in top-rated schools, virtual education, tutoring, and supporting neurodivergent and gifted learners, she is passionate about creating joyful, engaging learning experiences. As Executive Director of Arrows Learning Academy, Jessica aims to build a vibrant community where each child is valued, curious, and inspired to be a lifelong learner. A wife, mom of three, and Disney-loving creative, she believes education should nurture the whole child—emotionally, socially, and academically—through meaningful connections and hands-on exploration.

Bio: Ashley Brodbeck is a dedicated educator and founder who spent over a decade teaching in public, charter, and private schools before launching a learner-centered microschool in Brookville, Indiana. With classroom experience in both elementary and middle school, Ashley developed a deep understanding of student needs across age groups. Driven by her experience as a former classroom teacher and a desire for a more flexible and personalized learning environment, she founded Riverside Educational Services. Ashley emphasizes that she didn’t leave teaching, she left the traditional environment, and her goal has always been to create one she believes in.

SARAH HORN
Kairos Academy

Bio: Sarah Horn is an educator who entered the microschooling world after 10 years in both public and private schools. She launched her microschool in Madison, Indiana, the first and only founder-owned microschool in her rural, southern Indiana town. Sarah serves elementary school students with a personalized learning approach where each student receives instruction at their level. When she isn't teaching, she loves to be home with her husband and two young children.
